The Alps

The Alps is a European mountain range in central Europe. It stretches from the western parts of France to northern Italyinto Switzerland and Austria.
Even Germany, Liechtenstein and Slovenia has some land areas that count as the Alps.

We visit the Alps all year around for all kinds of outdoor activities such as skiing and snowboarding, but also for hiking and to enjoy the fresh alpine air and the beautiful scenary and the good food.

There are dozens of ski resorts to choose from. Most of them are located in France, Switzerland, Italy and Austria. The mountains have good snow conditions and some peaks and areas are covered by glaciers. There are some peaks above 4,000 meters and a large range of peaks up to 4,000 meters. In between the peaks beautiful valleys and charming villages greet you.

The majority of the ski resorts are located at at least 1,000 meters above sea level. This creates wonderful opportunities for skiers. The snow starts to fall during the autumn and remains until April or May in most places. In some areas you can even ski all year around, up on the glaciers.

What also characterizes the heart of the Alps are the long ski pistes and the vertica drop.
