In the state British Columbia in Canada is the ski resort Sun Peaks located, which is an excellent ski resort getaway option if you are planning to go on a skiing holiday in North America. The best time of year to ski in Sun Peaks is during the mid November to mid April.

There are 135 kilometer of groomed pistes in total, divided into 13 kilometer blue pistes, 78 kilometer red pistes and for the more experienced skiers, 43 kilometer black pistes. The highest point in the ski system is at 2082 meter, which gives a vertical drop of 884 meter. Here you can also find some really long pistes, the longest one is 8 kilometers.
If you haven't had enough of skiing after a day on the slopes, you can continue skiing even after the sun has gone down as there is the option of night skiing in Sun Peaks. There are also other skiing and snowboarding activities here besides the slopes, for the more daring (and perhaps more experienced) skiers there is both a fun park and a halfpipe facility.
If downhill skiing isn't your thing, or other in travel company don't like it, there are 38 kilometers of cross-country skiing tracks available for those who needs a good exercise.
