Nestled in the breath-taking Sierra Nevada mountain range in California, we find Palisades Tahoe, which is one of the top destinations for ski enthusiasts in the western parts of the United States. Whether you're an experienced skier or a beginner, Palisades Tahoe offers a ski vacation that combines the thrill of winter sports with the comforts of a bustling resort.

This ski resort was formerly known as Squaw Valley but had to change its name when Squaw in the name was considered "racist and sexist slur" by the local Indian Washoe tribe, and thus the ski resort today is instead Palisades Tahoe since September 2021.

A rich Olympic heritage

Palisades Tahoe has a rich history and is perhaps best known for hosting the Winter Olympics in 1960.
