The ski system is both modern and varied. There are a vast number of ski slopes for skiers of all abilities on all levels. For the family with children you can find a large number of green and blue ski slopes, wide carving pistes and exciting forest skiing. The maximum drop is about 1,050 meters.

Some ski slopes have a timing function where you can race with your friends.
In case you feel like off-pist skiing you have some good options. Head for the areas of Zauchensee, Kleinarl and Flachauwinkl.

Activities in Flachau

One of the most famous places for having a good night out isHofstadl, located at the Star Jet ski lift station. This place is usually full of people quite early on during the day. Another good place to try out is Purzelbaumalm which is located up in the ski system.Do not miss to have dinner at Sattelbauer which is a mountain restaurant. After dinner you can catch a toboggan back down to town. Really a memorable experience!

Travelling to Flachau

In case you decide to catch a flight to get the most out of your vacation, book a flight to Salzburg and catch the airport transfer to your destination. Check departure times in advance and reserve a seat. Innsbruck is another option. It will take you around two and a half hours to drive to Flachau.

Instead of taking a shuttle bus from the airport, you can take a train from both Innsbruck and Salzburg, but you would have to change to a bus for the last half hour to reach Flachau.
