There are a few ski lifts here (you can also get up with the help of donkeys) and the slopes are at a height of around 2,600 to 3,200 meters above sea level.

Snow in Oukaimeden
Oukaimeden does tend to have a lack of snow. After all, you are in Africa. The steeper slopes are often not possible to ski. However, the area is beautiful and the surroundings are wonderful for hiking or climbing excursions, so if you arrive at times of poor snow coverage you are bound to find something else to engage in.Of course the cultural experience is also exciting and very different from most other ski resorts.
