Heavenly provides you with a nice range of ski slopes to choose from. No matter whether you bring young children, teenagers or your parents, they will all find some suitable ski slopes. You will find well maintained wide slopes or untouched grounds, forest rides or fun snowparks – it is up to you. There are close to a hundred ski slopes and more than 30 ski lifts to take you around the quite vast area.Another major advantage with Heavenly is the big amounts of snow that fall here, around 9 meters per year. Season starts early in November and snow cannons are available to help out and prepare a good foundation. When the season ends in mid-April, there will usually still be snow on the ground.
You will also find a wide choice of activities off the mountain. Around Lake Tahoe, there basically are endless opportunities. You can try out anything from a helicopter ride to going on a hot air balloon to riding a snow mobile around the woods.
Any kind of entertainment is available: cosy restaurants and bars, lively nightclubs or fancy casinos.

The closest airport, about an hour’s drive away, is Reno-Tahoe International Airport, but you can also fly to Sacramento which is about two hours away. In case you reside in the San Francisco area it is also a quite short drive by car or you can even catch a coach. The freeway passes by the Lake Tahoe-area.
