Zell am Ziller offers 169 km of pistes, of which 10 km are black, 113 km are red and 46 km are blue. Even though the majority of the pistes are red, the Zell area will cater to all kind of skiers. There is also a great children's area, Gerlosstein, as well as several smaller areas for children and beginners. For those who want to go cross-country skiing there are very good opportunities with 200 kilometer of tracks.If you feel ready to challenge your friends in the snow park or the half pipe, have a go at the great snow park. In case you want to continue the challenge after a day on the slopes, we recommend to try out one of the toboggan areas. There are several slopes to choose from and one of them is lit at night. Really popular in Austria and the slopes are of very good quality.
The different ski areas within the valley can be reached both on skis and via the free ski bus.
Have you ever been the first one in the piste? It is a lovely experience - and it is offered in Zell. If you make a special reservation you can go up before they officially open.
