Great skiing challenges

Revelstoke Mountain Resort is mostly targeted at skiers who are looking for that something special and extraordinary, who have visited “all” ski resorts and want to try something new. Families with children or beginners, or even intermediate skiers, really will be better off somewhere else. However, even though the resort does mostly attract advanced skiers, there are also several easier ski slopes.

Just like the good old days, you can still get a ride with a helicopter or military vehicle up the mountain, but you can also catch a ski lifts and try out one of the about 100 ski slopes. Revelstoke offers the highest located ski lift in entire North America, at 1,713 meters above sea level.

Relax after a day of skiing

If you are looking for some serious partying all night long, try another destination to spend you ski vacation in. Revelstoke is a place to visit for skiing, period. After the ski lifts are closed people tend to take it easy, have a beer and a bite to eat and then head back home to rest for the next day. However, this has gradually started to change as the ski resort develops and attracts a broader audience.

There are also some fun activities to engage in. Despite being a quite small ski resort there are some things to have a go at, such as snowmobiles, ice climbing or take a guided tour on snow shoes. There is even a thermal spa and a swimming pool available.

How to travel to Revelstoke Mountain Resort

Most people need to take a flight to get here. It is located in Canada and the closest international airport is in Calgary, a good five hours drive away. Regional airports are available at Kelowna Airport and Kamloops Aiport, each about a two hour drive away.
From the airport, airport transfers do run but the easiest and most flexible way of travelling would be to rent a car.
